Kalaripayattu, the oldest martial art | India

Kalaripayattu is a 3000 years old martial art form from Kerala, India.
Reported as the oldest and the mother of all martial arts in the world, Kalaripayattu is a mix of self-defence techniques, yoga and meditation, and - in modern times - even a popular form of cultural entertainment.
It combines a wide range of techniques and weapons. Fighters use their bare hands or long rods, sticks, swords, shields, knives and the traditional urumi, a flexible sword whose origins go back in the days.
The training focuses on agility and flexibility but also channels the inner energy, in order to create a perfect balance between body and mind.
